我3月20飛了，工作如樓上網友說的，要去那里才找。其實我很愛酒（不是酗酒哦），依據lonely planet的酒廠tour上了20個web，再發出20封求職，但都沒空缺。:-(

請問msky知道紐西蘭哪里可以找到酒廠的工作嗎？希望能在幾個月的旅程中見證釀酒過程～～

I have completed the application form of NZ WHM but I got below msg,

"You need to update your passport before you can be granted a visa or permit under a Working Holiday Scheme as it is not valid for sufficient time to meet our requirements. A passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the length of time you will stay in New Zealand. When you have renewed your passport you can revisit this application and enter your updated passport details."

I do not understand why is it this msg prompt to me as my passport expiry date is 27-06-2011? I am not sure whether because of my intend departure date on 01-12-2010?

It is I need to renew passport only can proceed appilcation? I have not pay for the fees yet....

A good news from us, we got our visitor permit approved yesterday by Queenstown Immigration, will start travel South's west coast and North Island soon. Many Thanks for ur wishes! ^_^ Woo..we got it

 To answer your question -> 'why malaysian need to apply for tourist visa? i thought it's waived?'

Malaysia is one of the country who is visa waived to NZ's border, (*VISA is only allow us to reach NZ's border) and subject to NZ'simmigration officer approval for max 3 month visitor permit (free)(* PERMIT is to allow us to enter to NZ from it's border) .

But for whose who already in NZ, Malaysian need to apply either extend (e.g for visitor who want to stay longer, max to stay 9mths) or apply visitor permit (e.g. WHM) , we need to apply a new visitor permit with few supportting documents (e.g Temporary X-Ray(stay less than 12 mths in NZ in total), Medical Checkup and X-Ray(> 12 mths stay), Confirmed ticket outward from NZ, sufficient fundto sustain number of months in NZ (NZD 1k for each mth)....) andwith very strong reason why to apply the visitor permit.

What I am sharing here is not 100% official and accurate , these are just my 2 cents of sharing. =) Thanks

Theoretically, it is workable.. but practically, you may face some difficulties

When you re-enter NZ after Gold Coast 5-6 days, most likely NZ custom will be questioning, why you are returning NZ so fast? and may reject your re-enter to NZ.

I hear from friend, his friend did almost same what you plan, his friend also been questioned and requested to show ticket out from NZ. Eventually his friend bought the return ticket immediately in Airport and luckily managed to enter NZ. There is some risk to so do.

And I wish to share my personal experience, me and gf already finished 9 months time in NZ (6 mths WHM + 3 moths extension), now are waiting approval of our visitor permit, already about 2 weeks still not approved yet, as NZ immigration requests us to have Air ticket out from NZ and give very strong reason why to apply visitor after 9 months in NZ. Today We quickly bought the Air Ticket and reply with many reasons why we apply visitor permit , and hope to get it approved ASAP, else we are illegal stay !!!!

Emm.. In short , I see there is no absolute answer to your question, most of the time luck and in different circumstance do matters the the final outcome. My 2 cents of suggestion, play hard and work hard during the 6 or 9 months NZ WHM. =)

I do need to ask a few question before my departing in May:

1. If i am staying in YHA or hostel, will there be any locker cupboard or drawer to put our personal belongings?? such as laptop, personal belongings or even put our ludgage??

2. I would like to do some outdoor work. In May, where is the best place to go?? which job will give better or higher pay for that season , any recommendations??

3. Plan to work for 5-6mths then go Gold Coast for a 5-6 days travel then come back NZ as a tourist, can we do that??

4. Any recommendated hostel to stay in Auckland?? I plan to do eb\verything in auckland before I go to search for a job...

Sorry for the hard and stupid question coz I do not plan to waste time!!
